Steffen Diemers Documentary about the American conversion site in Heidelberg
With the exhibition "America's Hidden Places", the Mark Twain Center Heidelberg for Transatlantic Relations (MTC) presents itself for the first time with its own program in public. The MTC is currently being built in the headquarters building (Keyes Building) on the grounds of the former Campbell Barracks. The MTC will bring together the view of the past with perspectives from culture and science and promote the German-American dialogue on common tasks of the future.
Steffen Diemer, b. 1966 in Grünstadt, worked as a photographer for internationally renowned magazines such as Der Spiegel, FAZ, The Guardian and National Geographic. As a reportage photographer, he has traveled the war and crisis regions of this world and is experimenting today in a variety of ways with artistic techniques and motifs.
